This policy explains why personal data processed through canvashelper.com, app.canvashelper.com and the Canvas Helper mobile app is collected, and how it is used and protected. 2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, name and store information when you create an account.
- Billing information: legal name or full name, address, tax office and tax/ID number so we can issue invoices.
- Order and delivery information: the recipient name, address and phone number for production orders. This usually belongs to your end customer and is used only to produce and ship the order.
- Etsy integration data: with your explicit consent, your Etsy store data including products, orders, reviews and analytics, to provide our services.
- Usage information: features accessed, actions taken, and technical information such as IP address and browser type.
- Design data: images, designs and mockups you upload to or create on the platform.
- Mobile app data: device identifier, push notification token, device model, operating system and app version, language and time zone, to deliver notifications and let you manage signed-in devices. The mobile app does not collect location, contacts or advertising identifiers.
3. Payment information
Card payments for production orders are processed by iyzico, a licensed payment institution. Card details such as the card number, expiry date and security code never reach our servers and are not stored by us; we only receive the payment result and a transaction reference.
Software subscription payments are collected through Paddle; card details for those payments are likewise processed by Paddle.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service: design tools, Etsy integration, order management, production and delivery — performance of a contract.
- Invoicing and accounting: issuing invoices and keeping statutory records — compliance with a legal obligation.
- Support and security: answering support requests and preventing fraud and abuse — legitimate interest.
- Improving the platform: using usage data to improve our product — legitimate interest.
- Promotional communication: campaign and product update emails — your consent; you can opt out at any time.
6. Retention
We keep personal data while your account is open and for as long as the processing purpose requires. Data that the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and commercial records, is retained for the statutory periods (for example 10 years for commercial books and documents). When the period ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit with TLS. We limit access to authorised staff, audit access logs and regularly update our security measures. In the event of a security incident, we notify affected users and the Personal Data Protection Board as required by law.
8. Your rights under the KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties to whom it is transferred; to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, and deletion or destruction where the conditions are met; to request that these actions be notified to third parties; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
